What documents are required to apply for a broadband connection?

 What is Airwire Broadband

Airwire is an ISP operating in Karnataka (especially Bengaluru) under the company NorthEast Dataa Network Private Limited.  They offer various broadband plans (100-200+ Mbps etc.), unlimited data, and ask for a feasibility check before providing a new connection.

Documents Required for Identity & Address Proof

To get a new connection, you need to provide documents for Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA). In many cases, a single document may serve as both if it contains both your name and current address. Airwire requires that the documents be self-attested copies

Here are commonly accepted documents:

Additional Requirements / Steps

Besides the documents, there are other steps or smaller requirements to keep in mind:

  1. Feasibility Check
Before the service can be installed, Airwire will check whether your location is serviceable (fiber/cable reach etc.).

  2. Installation Time
Once your documents are verified, installation can take about 48 hours from successful account verification.

  3. Self-attestation
The document copies you submit should be self-attested (signed/stamped by you). Advance Payment / Security Deposit

  4. Often, ISPs require an advance payment or security deposit for setting up the service. (Airwire’s website doesn’t explicitly list the deposit requirement in the document list section, but user-reports show that when applying, people had to provide some advance.  Always check with the local Airwire sales or support for the exact charges in your area.

Things to Confirm Locally

Because policies sometimes change and may vary by specific location (e.g. apartment building, rented vs owned property), check for:

  • Whether your landlord or society needs to approve the installation (especially for fiber cable entry etc.).

  • Whether there are extra charges for router / installation / cabling.

  • Whether specific documents are required by the regional/regulatory authorities in that area.
