Do you offer unlimited data plans?

What “Unlimited Data” Means for Airwire

From their official site and plan listings:

  • All of their broadband plans show Unlimited upload” and “Unlimited download in the description.

  • They don’t impose a fixed data cap (e.g. 100 GB or 500 GB) after which you pay extra. Instead, the plans are intended to allow you to use data without worrying about reaching a limit.

Important Caveats / What to Watch Out For

Even when a provider says “unlimited,” there are often real-world or contractual limits, or performance changes after certain usage. Here’s what to check with Airwire:

  1. Fair Usage Policy (FUP)
While Airwire’s plans are described as unlimited, some ISPs include an FUP, which means after using “too much” data, your speed might be reduced for the rest of the billing cycle. I did not find a public, clearly-stated FUP cap for all their areas/plans (e.g. “after X TB your speed drops”) in what I saw. If you require very heavy usage, you should confirm.

  2. Speed After Heavy Use
Sometimes “unlimited” does not mean you’ll get the full advertised speed all the time, especially during congested hours, or if the network enforces throttling under high traffic. Again, I did not see any mentions of automatic speed throttling after a data threshold — but absence in public plans doesn’t always mean absence in practice.

  3. Geographical / Feasibility Limitations

    • Not every area may have Airwire available. Even in Bengaluru or nearby Karnataka areas, they do a “feasibility check” to see if service can be provided.

    • Also, what “unlimited” means might vary by region or plan version.

  4. Terms & Hidden Conditions
    Always check the fine print:

    • Is there a minimum commitment period (6- or 12-month subscription)? Some plans give better price or perks for longer terms.

    • Are there extra costs (installation, router, taxes)? Yes — these are typically extra.

  5. Customer Experience
It’s useful to check user reviews or local feedback in your area. Even unlimited plans sometimes degrade in speed or service quality under high load or if the infrastructure in your building / locality is weak.

What to Ask / Clarify If You Apply

If you decide to go with Airwire or are checking, here are useful questions to ask their customer service so you know exactly what you’re getting:

  • Is there any data-threshold after which speed may be reduced or changed? (“Do you apply FUP?”)

  • What speed do I get after very heavy use?

  • Are there peak-hours speed restrictions?

  • What is the contract period and what are cancellation terms?

  • What are all charges (installation, equipment, router, etc.)?

  • In my area: is the “unlimited” plan fully available (in terms of infrastructure)?
