Do I need to be at home during installation?

Do I need to be at home during installation?

Why Your Presence is Important:

  1. Access to the Property

    • Technicians need access to both the outside and inside of your home or building to mount the equipment and run necessary cables.

    • If the door is locked or no one is present, the installation cannot be completed.

  2. Optimal Equipment Placement

    • You can guide the technician on where you'd like the router or fiber termination point to be located, ensuring best coverage and convenience.

    • Technicians may also suggest the ideal placement for the best Wi‑Fi signal.

  3. Consent for Drilling or Mounting

    • If wall mounting, drilling, or cable routing is required, the technician will need approval from the homeowner or tenant.

  4. Wi‑Fi Router Configuration (Optional)

    • If you’re using your own router or a router provided by Airwire, being present allows you to get it set up and tested on the spot.

  5. Immediate Testing & Troubleshooting

    • Once installed, the technician will test your internet connection.

    • If you're there, you can confirm it’s working on your devices and ask any questions.

What if You Can’t Be There?

If you’re unavailable:

  • You can arrange for a family member, friend, or trusted neighbor to be present.

  • That person should be authorized to make decisions about equipment placement and installation approval.

 How Long Does Installation Take?

Installation typically takes 30 to 90 minutes, depending on:

  • Your home layout

  • Distance from the distribution point

  • Any custom cabling or adjustments required
