Do you offer parental control features with your broadband?
Do you offer parental control features with your broadband?
What’s available
-
You can use our network usage dashboard (via our app or web portal) to monitor which devices are connected, how much bandwidth each is using, and when the connections are active. This gives you visibility into usage.
-
We are evaluating possible feature-rollouts such as restricting access to certain sites or content types, scheduling internet access for specific devices (e.g. to limit late-night usage), and easier management of permissions. We hope to make more of these available soon.

What you can do now for parental controls
Even without full built-in parental control, you can still manage and safeguard internet access using:
-
Router-level controls
If you are using a router that supports parental control (many third-party routers do), you can block or allow specific sites/domains, set access times, or limit usage for certain devices. -
DNS filtering
Using family-safe DNS services (for example, OpenDNS FamilyShield, CleanBrowsing, etc.) you can filter out inappropriate content at a network level. You just need to change the DNS settings on your router or device. -
Device or OS-based controls
Most modern devices (phones, tablets, laptops) have their own parental control tools, where you can restrict apps, limit screen-time, or block access to certain content.
What to expect moving forward
-
We’re collecting feedback from customers who want stronger parental control features; your input really helps us decide which tools to prioritize.
-
As we expand our service features, we expect to add more user-friendly parental controls into our standard plan or as add-ons.
