  • Router Placement: Pick a central location inside your home where the router can provide the best Wi-Fi coverage. Avoid placing it near thick walls, metal objects, or electronic devices that can cause interference.

  • Power Sockets: Make sure there is at least one accessible power socket near the installation area for the router and any additional equipment.

2. For Fixed Wireless Installations

  • Roof or Wall Access: The installer may need access to your roof, chimney, or an exterior wall to mount a small antenna (receiver dish) that connects wirelessly to the nearest Airwire tower.

  • Clear Line of Sight: Ensure there are no major obstacles like large trees or new buildings that could block the signal path from your home to our network.

  • Permission for Mounting: If you’re renting or living in a shared building, confirm with your landlord or property manager that installation of external equipment is allowed.

3. For Fibre Installations

  • Access to Fibre Entry Point: If your home is already connected to a fibre network, make sure the ONT (Optical Network Terminal) is accessible. If it's a new connection, our technician will advise the best entry point and may need to drill a small hole for the fibre cable.
